The King

Leaving home, heading for the studio again. Always fun, but it’s hard leaving my wonderful son Elvis. Lucky for me, we’ll have the whole afternoon together! :-) But before that, let’s make some great music!

Song of the day:         Willie Colón – Aguanile

On YouTube:              Willie Colón – Aguanile

On Wikipedia:            Héctor Lavoe

Notes: I’m a bit confused about the names and the facts here but if I(Daniel) read it right it seems that it’s Willie Colón’s band playing and Héctor Lavoe singing. I never found artist details very interesting so my motivation for finding out wasn’t too great. What matters to me is that this is an amazing song that I play almost every time I Dj. Enjoy  :)

Radio Eskobar2

Hello Friends!

This is the first post in a series we’ve chosen to call Radio Eskobar.

Radio Eskobar will simply be a series of daily posts here where we tell you about a song we really like by some artist and you’ll get an idea of what we’re listening to…and hopefully we can keep it going for a while  :)

If you have Spotify you can use the following link and the songs we post about will be added there daily if they are available: Radio Eskobar

We will also try to post links to YouTube or other sources of listening to the songs we hint about.

Hope you’ll enjoy the music!

Back From The Island

•September 16, 2009 • Comments Off

Tuesday morning I(Daniel) went on an inspiring miniature vacation and just got back…

The journey took me to the seaside village of Nickelshallow where a ferry was waiting to take us to an island close by…

Apart from cabin life there was lots of animals and nature to enjoy…

Leaving our hut someone tried to catch me crashing in the mud bicycling but I managed to stay in control and gave a one finger salute in a most loving way :)

On our way back we watched a favourite movie of mine called FEARLESS on ibjörn…and yes that’s what I’ve named my iphone…

Eskobar Covers Lady Gaga!

•September 16, 2009 • Comments Off

A while ago we had an off day at the Inktower Studios and decided to just have some fun so we decided to record a quick cover version of some song and started listening to a few different tracks and found Lady Ga Ga’s “Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say” to work pretty well as an acoustic version…

The result has just been layin’ around for a while but now when we’ve activated the blog we thought we’d share it…

Today’s session at the Inktower was quite productive and the recordings are moving forward at a steady pace…

This evening the machetes and safari outfits have been packed cause tomorrow morning me and The Rose are heading into the wild… :)

Monday morning and I’m on my way to the studio. Daniel just told me that the lyrics for the latest Esko-song are complete. Can’t wait to hear them!

Yesterday I found a cool app for the iPhone called 4-track. A great 4-track studio in your phone that actually sounds & works great. I Love You IPhone!!! Haha! :-)
